Vince Iorio examines the relationship between people, objects, and spaces, and the systems that structure everyday life. His practice begins with ordinary situations or found images, which he transposes into new temporal and social contexts. By removing figures, altering settings, or isolating functional objects, he turns attention to what remains once human activity has moved elsewhere.

Work and function are central to his painting. They shape how we occupy space, organize time, and relate to the objects and infrastructures around us. Marked by absence, interruption, and transition, his images allow familiar situations to take on a different social and psychological intensity. Things and spaces appear as bearers of the structures, habits, and stories of the human world.

Born in 1985 in Schlieren, Switzerland, Vince lives and works in Zurich. He holds a BA in Fine Arts from Zurich University of the Arts (2015) and previously studied East Asian Art History, Popular Culture Studies, and Film Studies at the University of Zurich (2008–2011).
